The Heavy Duties Rhino panniers for the BMW R 1200 GS LC and R 1250 GS / GS Adventure are a waterproof 48 L / 40 L aluminium set with an exhaust cutout, made to mount on our asymmetrical racks with exhaust gap. They are designed, built and tested in Romania by riders who use them on long-distance trips.

Are these panniers waterproof?
Yes. The deep-drawn lid and base, the riveted and silicone-sealed base and the EPDM gasket keep rain, river spray and dust out.
Which racks do I need?
The Heavy Duties asymmetrical racks with exhaust gap: BMW R 1200LC/1250 GS/A pannier racks, asymmetrical (exhaust cutout). The panniers are built to fit them precisely.
What happens if I damage a corner?
Each HDPE corner is replaceable on its own. Order Heavy Duties protection corners and change only the damaged part.
Is the price for one pannier or a set?
The price is for a set of two panniers (48 L and 40 L).

2 mm aluminium, 14 bends
High-grade 2 mm aluminium alloy formed along 14 bending lines — a strong structure with a sensible weight.
Deep-drawn lid & base
Lid and base are cold-formed (deep-drawn) in one piece: more rigid, more waterproof and with no welded corners.
Waterproof & dustproof
Riveted, silicone-sealed base and an exchangeable EPDM gasket on the lid keep driving rain, dust and river crossings outside.
13-face HDPE corners
High-density polyethylene corners, mould-injected in-house. Very wear-resistant and replaceable one by one.
CNC milled & TIG welded
Robot and hand welded with attention to detail; CNC-milled parts for a precise fit and clean edges.
4 strap holders
Polyethylene holders with rounded edges: no strap abrasion, fit several strap widths and are replaceable.
Impact Release fixing system
Locked to the steel racks with high-strength polyethylene brackets and 14 thread-locked bolts. In a heavy impact the pannier releases from the rack, protecting your leg, the rack and the pannier.
Toggle latch, one key
1.5 mm laser-cut steel toggle latch with Heavy Duties stamping and one key for both panniers — or the Alterna-Latch that opens from both sides.
Alterna-Latch
Dual-action hinge lock: open the lid from either side, or release both latches and lift it off.
Extreme protections
2 mm aluminium plates riveted over the exposed edges for hard off-road riding.
5 mm foam isolation
Polyethylene inner padding protects your gear and reduces rattling.
